Materials and care
Materials and care
PCB Composition: Engineered on a rigid, high-density multi-layer FR4 fiberglass printed circuit board featuring gold-plated contact points for superior conductivity and physical robustness.
Static Handling Precautions: Highly sensitive to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Ground yourself before handling, and strictly hold the board by its outer edges to avoid contact with bare pins or surface-mount components.
Thermal Management: Under continuous load, the BCM2711 SoC will generate heat. While the 2GB variant runs slightly cooler than its 8GB counterpart, a simple passive heatsink or a well-ventilated case is recommended to avoid thermal throttling.
Environmental Limits: Designed for clean, dry indoor environments. Keep the board shielded from moisture, condensation, and conductive contaminants. Recommended safe operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C.

Power Supply Specifics: This board requires stable power to run optimally. Strongly recommend the Official Raspberry Pi 15W USB-C Power Supply (5.1V / 3.0A) to prevent under-voltage warnings during USB peripheral use.
Essential Adapter Cables: Since the Pi 4 line moved away from standard HDMI ports, make sure to cross-sell a micro-HDMI to HDMI Cable or adapter to customers setting up a desktop environment.
Budget Headless King: Position this 2GB model as the ultimate budget-friendly choice for "headless" (monitor-free) server configurations, smart home hubs (Home Assistant), or lightweight edge networking arrays where massive RAM isn't required.
Enclosure Compatibility: Remind customers that physical changes to the board layout (swapped USB and Ethernet ports) mean this unit will not fit older Raspberry Pi 3 cases. Cross-sell a dedicated Raspberry Pi 4 Case to protect their investment.
